Blank seed plate for customers to cut themselves
To find the correct seed plate, take a look at the back of the product box. For the purpose of this explanation, we will be planting a large cabbage which requires seed plate number one.
Insert the seed plate into the SRS hopper by placing it over the centre of the mounting and turning the plate clockwise to lock it into position.
Select the required depth setting and row length. This information should be provided on your seed packet, but if not, simply look the information up online.
Adjust the depth setter to the recommended depth for your specific fruit or vegetable.
Adjust the row marker to the correct distance as shown.
Empty the seeds into the hopper but make sure you do not exceed the maximum fill line.
The Cresco SRS is now ready to use. It is always best to mark out a straight line before commencing the first pass. An easy way to do this is to attach a piece of string to pegs at both ends of the tilth.
Engage the pre-set row marker. Push the SRS forward at a slow walking speed following the string you have marked out for your first row.
Stop at the end of the first run and place the marker back in its holder in the vertical position. The marker will have left a trail to be followed for the next seeding row (2nd Row). Now place the marker on the opposite side (on your left) and push the seeder along the track made by the marker on your first run (2nd Row).

The Cresco Seeder offers a solution to the planting of a wide array of seeds. One of the most important aspects of our seeder is to understand which seed plate you need to use and what spacing and depth the seed requires to be planted at.
As a result, we have spent months rigorously testing our seed plates to make sure we provide the correct information to our customers.
You can be sure your seeds will be planted in the optimal position for maximum growth!
Although Cresco is new, we have been working within the industry for a long time.
Our company, DMMP was an importer of well established brands of spreaders for over 20 years and before that we designed and manufactured professional line marking equipment. Back track further and our company sold animal feeds and fertilizers. In essence, we’ve been around the block!
With the tumultuous nature of the global economy over the past five years, it became increasingly difficult to supply the European market with a spreader range that hit the right price point. We knew the industry was crying out for a manufacturer with a versatile chain of logistics that can supply all customers with a quality product at the right price, no matter where they may be.
If there’s something we know about, it’s spreaders. We have been studying them, fixing them, selling them and using them for the best part of 4 decades. It might not be something we’d volunteer at a party but we sit at the forefront of knowledge with regards to professional pedestrian spreaders and we wanted to take a bet on some of our ideas.
In addition, the established suppliers seemed stuck in the mud – assembled boxed spreaders would be sent all around the world racking up a huge carbon footprint and the end customer was left fitting the bill for all that transport!
We wanted to establish a new chain of logistics, where the spreader was sent in raw materials around the world and only assembled in the country of the purchaser. By doing so, we keep our carbon footprint low and our costs low.
We partnered with a number of engineers to combine our knowledge with their experience and expertise in brining a product from idea to reality. In the process, we have revolutionised the way in which customers can adjust the spread pattern on their spreaders.
Instead of fiddly settings, or multiple hoppers, we have a simple to use slide system. In addition, we have created a custom built testing bed to test spreader accuracy and build quality and professionally calibrate numerous fertilizers, so offering the most accurate calibrations available.
Lastly we have upgraded the standard pin style agitation. Creating an innovative spider agitation system that helps improve flow over the drop holes. The spider provides targeted agitation and most importantly provides reduced drag, making the Cresco 30 spreaders easier to push.
Our brand is new to the game but we are not. We care about our imprint on this industry and we only expect the highest quality of spreaders.
Each raw material is individually quality checked before going out the door. It is then received by our depots before being assembled and quality checked again.
If a spreader sneaks through our rigorous checks, our 3 year warranty offer ensures our customers can expect their money back if our quality is not up to scratch.
