We want you to have everything you need on your spreader without paying for the bits you don’t need. That’s why we include our key Slide System Technology on every model, but there are some differences between each product range.
So which spreader is right for you?
If you’re spreading over an area of no more than 300sq metres (roughly the size of a tennis court), then the Cresco 8SW is recommended.
Spreading something bigger?
The Cresco 20 series is ideal for large areas and is recommended for use on areas up to the size of half a football pitch (3500sq metres), and for anything over that, you’re best suited to our top-of-the-line professional models, the Cresco 30s.

If you’ve ever manually calibrated a spreader, then you know it’s a challenging task. With Cresco’s Calibration Centre, we’ve done a lot of the hard work for you.
Whether you’re spreading salt of fertilizer, it’s important you spread the right amount of product across a given area, but this isn’t always simple. As fertilizers and salts vary greatly in size, weight, and shape, they all spread differently, meaning your spreader settings need to be set correctly for the specific product you’re using. Normally, this means lost time as you trial different settings trying to find the right one for your product.
However, we’ve made it our mission to simplify spreaders, and to help us do this, we’ve designed our very own testing system. This means we can quickly identify the optimum settings for the products you’re using and share them with you in our data vault.
While this technology gives you greater control over how much and how accurately you spread fertilizer, a vital link was still missing. How do you know exactly how much fertilizer you’re spreading in order to adjust your output accordingly?
If you just use visual cues to gauge your output, then you risk spreading too much fertilizer and damaging your grass, or too little product, meaning your spreading is ineffective. One option you’ve got is to run a series of tests, measuring how much fertilizer you spread over a certain area, but this can be difficult to achieve accurate results from.
Ideally calibration needs to be carried out in a controlled environment in order to achieve the best results. To ensure complete accuracy, we’ve invested in the Cresco Calibration Centre, so you don’t have to worry about trial and error.
Although Cresco is new, we have been working within the industry for a long time.
Our company, DMMP was an importer of well established brands of spreaders for over 20 years and before that we designed and manufactured professional line marking equipment. Back track further and our company sold animal feeds and fertilizers. In essence, we’ve been around the block!
With the tumultuous nature of the global economy over the past five years, it became increasingly difficult to supply the European market with a spreader range that hit the right price point. We knew the industry was crying out for a manufacturer with a versatile chain of logistics that can supply all customers with a quality product at the right price, no matter where they may be.
If there’s something we know about, it’s spreaders. We have been studying them, fixing them, selling them and using them for the best part of 4 decades. It might not be something we’d volunteer at a party but we sit at the forefront of knowledge with regards to professional pedestrian spreaders and we wanted to take a bet on some of our ideas.
In addition, the established suppliers seemed stuck in the mud – assembled boxed spreaders would be sent all around the world racking up a huge carbon footprint and the end customer was left fitting the bill for all that transport!
We wanted to establish a new chain of logistics, where the spreader was sent in raw materials around the world and only assembled in the country of the purchaser. By doing so, we keep our carbon footprint low and our costs low.
We partnered with a number of engineers to combine our knowledge with their experience and expertise in brining a product from idea to reality. In the process, we have revolutionised the way in which customers can adjust the spread pattern on their spreaders.
Instead of fiddly settings, or multiple hoppers, we have a simple to use slide system. In addition, we have created a custom built testing bed to test spreader accuracy and build quality and professionally calibrate numerous fertilizers, so offering the most accurate calibrations available.
Lastly we have upgraded the standard pin style agitation. Creating an innovative spider agitation system that helps improve flow over the drop holes. The spider provides targeted agitation and most importantly provides reduced drag, making the Cresco 30 spreaders easier to push.
Our brand is new to the game but we are not. We care about our imprint on this industry and we only expect the highest quality of spreaders.
Each raw material is individually quality checked before going out the door. It is then received by our depots before being assembled and quality checked again.
If a spreader sneaks through our rigorous checks, our 3 year warranty offer ensures our customers can expect their money back if our quality is not up to scratch.
